The War in Ukraine and Crimea’s Indigenous Peoples — Interview with Dr. Greta Uehling
Join me for a conversation with Dr. Greta Uehling as we explore her latest book on Crimea’s Indigenous communities, the ongoing war, and the meaning of decolonization in Ukraine today.
Good evening, everyone,
I hope you are all doing well despite the intensity of these difficult times. Firstly, I would like to apologize for my absence. The news can get overwhelming even for me. However, I am back, and I am pleased to announce that I am doing interviews again.
As many of you are aware, I was scheduled to interview Dr. Greta Uehling earlier last month; however, due to some technical difficulties, we were unable to conduct the interview as planned. Thankfully, after working with Restream’s team, we were able to resolve the issue.
Dr. Uehling has graciously agreed to return to the show, and I will be discussing her book, Decolonizing Ukraine: How the Indigenous People of Crimea Remade Themselves after Russian Occupation (2025), as well as the current state of the war.
The interview will start at 2 PM CST on June 21st. You can watch it on YouTube, Twitch, or Facebook.
I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Uehling and my audience for their continued patience and support. I look forward to speaking with Dr. Uehling and continuing this important work.
