Donald Trump Sent Lewd Letter to Jeffrey Epstein
In yet another example of how connected Trump was to Jeffrey Epstein, the Wall Street Journal shows Trump sent a letter to the disgraced and deceased financier.

Things are not going well for Donald Trump at the moment. His failure to release the Epstein files and the subsequent backlash have come at a time when he could use a win, but his past is catching up with him. Indeed, a new Wall Street Journal report shows that the President of the United States sent a lewd and inappropriate letter to disgraced sexual predator and former financier Jeffrey Epstein. The letter in question suggests that the relationship between President Trump and Epstein was far more cordial than the President would like to admit.
The Epstein Problem
Earlier this month, the DOJ released a memo that asserted that the alleged Epstein client list didn't exist. The memo explained, "This systematic review revealed no incriminating 'client list'..." and that "There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions." The memo also reported that the DOJ had found no additional evidence to file new charges.
The Epstein list allegedly contains the names of all of Jeffrey Epstein's clients. The presumed purpose of which was to serve as blackmail. It is worth noting that the existence of this list has not been confirmed by any reputable outlet or government agency, and to date, it remains a matter of contention, and the allegations of blackmail by Epstein are unproven. Though that has not stopped some from asserting that said blackmail exists.
However, both during his 2024 campaign and his current term, Trump and his allies repeatedly asserted that the list was real and that they would release it. In a February interview with Fox's John Roberts, Attorney General Pam Bondi was directly asked whether she would release the Epstein Client list, to which she replied that it was on her desk. Attorney General Bondi now claims that she was referring to Epstein files in general, not a client list. However, that is not what Roberts asked her.
The Revelation
On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal revealed that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's fixer and now convicted sex trafficker, was gathering letters for Epstein's 50th birthday from his friends and family. Among some of the letters is one from Donald Trump in which a drawn image of a naked woman is shown with Mr. Trump's signature near the woman's waist.
The Wall Street Journal's Khadeeja Safdar and Joe Palazzolo explain.
"The letter bearing Trump’s name, which was reviewed by the Journal, is bawdy—like others in the album. It contains several lines of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman, which appears to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the woman’s breasts, and the future President’s signature is a squiggly “Donald” below her waist, mimicking pubic hair.
The letter concludes: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
Included in the letter is a dialogue which portrays Epstein and Trump talking to one another, saying:
“Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything,” the note began.
Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.
Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.
Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.
Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?
Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.
Donald: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret."
While President Trump has previously attempted to portray his enemies as being part of a cabal of pedophiles by playing into the QAnon conspiracy theory, his relationship with Epstein has been a matter of controversy and contention. After Epstein was arrested in 2019, then-President Trump was asked whether he still thought Epstein was a great guy. Mr. Trump attempted to argue that he had not been on good terms with Epstein for nearly 15 years, noting he was "not a fan" of the financier.
While it may be true that he separated from Epstein, the letter revealed by the Wall Street Journal demonstrates that, at the very least, Trump was far more connected to Epstein than previously known. Video footage from the 1990s shows Epstein and Trump admiring women dancing at Mar-a-Lago. In an interview with New York Magazine, Trump refers to Epstein as someone who loves women, particularly those on the "younger side."
"He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”- Trump to Landon Thomas Jr., 2002.
This isn't to say that Trump is automatically guilty, but given that the current administration is now downplaying the existence of a client list that Trump and his allies promised to release, this connection is, to say the least, disturbing.
Trump is currently accusing the Wall Street Journal of fabricating the letter and threatening to sue, and Vice President Pence is calling the story “bullshit,” but since the Wall Street Journal has signed off on its content, it seems unlikely that his letter is a fabrication. And considering Trump continues to claim the Epstein files were created by Democrats to hurt him, it is becoming increasingly clear that something is rotten behind these files.
Good column!
